J.K. Rowling Hints There Could Be More Than 7 Harry Potter Books

When asked during this morning’s internet chat for World Book Day if she was planning to write any books about Harry after school, J.K. Rowling, who has said in the past that she had no plans to do so, answered, “Probably not, but I’ll never say never because every time I do I immediately break the vow!”

But before we see an eighth book, we may see new versions of the existing Harry Potter books. Another student asked, if you could change anything about Harry Potter what would it be? J.K. replied, “There are loads of things I would change. I don’t think any writer is ever completely happy with what they’ve written. One of these days – once seven is finished – I’ll revise all seven books.”

Also, we may see more Harry Potter related books by J.K. at some point in the future. When a student asked if there any plans for any more background books like Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Quidditch Through the Ages, J.K. replied “Possibly. If I do them, it will be for charity like the first two.”
