Ultimate Fans Work Magic for Harry Potter Tour

First there was the Ultimate Unofficial Guide to the Mysteries of Harry Potter, created by Harry Potter fans, for Harry Potter fans … Then came HP Fan Trips, created by Harry Potter fans, for Harry Potter fans. What happens when the ultimate Harry Potter fan guide meets the ultimate Harry Potter fan trip? An “Ultimate Fan Appreciation” Sweepstakes.

Wizarding World Press, in cooperation with Beyond Boundaries Travel, has conjured up a giveaway for an enviable spot on HP Fan Trips’ premiere tour. One person and a guest will receive five days of magical excitement, celebrating the movie release of “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.”

In less than 100 days, the winner will be in London to watch the film with actor Chris Rankin, who plays Percy Weasley. Rankin will personally give a behind-the-scenes scoop to members of the tour. Also featured are a treasure hunt and a “real,” land-based “Quidditch” game, developed by USA Team Handball, the National Governing Body for Olympic sport of Handball.

The contest runs through March 15, 2004. Sweepstakes entry form and rules are online: www.ultimateunofficialguide.com

“Fans have been so great about supporting us that we wanted to find something very special for our contest,” said Galadriel Waters, longtime Harry Potter fan and author of the Ultimate Unofficial Guide to the Mysteries of Harry Potter.

“We thought about what a true Harry Potter fan would desire and collected comments from our website. After much searching, we discovered this spellbinding prize of a once-in-a-lifetime dream vacation for the ultimate Fan,” explained Ms. Waters.

Even those who don’t win the free tour may still join HP Fan Trips by contacting Beyond Boundaries Travel by March 31 (limited space): www.hpfantrips.com.

Fans who wish to sign up for more enchanting activities can ride the actual “Hogwarts Express” train that was used in the movies: locomotive #5972, on exhibit in York for the National Railway Museum’s Rail 200 extravaganza.

Wizarding World Press’ “Ultimate Unofficial Guides” are not authorized, licensed or approved by J.K. Rowling, her publishers, or licensors. The Harry Potter name is a trademark of Warner Bros./Time Warner Entertainment.
