J.K. Rowling Says Queen Appreciative of Harry Potter

The Queen hosted the ultimate girl power get-together today at Buckingham Palace to celebrate the achievements of women.

Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling was among the glittering array of high-flyers who gathered at Buckingham Palace for the historic working lunch.

Rowling, who was a struggling single mother when she started writing her books, said after meeting the Queen that she had divulged her interest in the magical tales.

She was appreciative of Harry, she said.

Teenage singer Charlotte Church, believed to be the youngest person invited, said: I feel so privileged to be here. I don’t think I’m worthy when all I do is sing.

The person I want to meet is J.K. Rowling but I’ve been too nervous to approach her, she revealed.

Church was later spotted deep in conversation with the acclaimed author of the Harry Potter novels.
