Access Hollywood talked with Director Sam Mendes who says “Some weeks ago Kate had a meeting with Chris Colombus and some producers of the Harry Potter movies where she was asked to have an important role as a young french wizard or something like that in the 4th Harry Potter movie, which I forgot its name, she is still thinking about it, I told her to do it just for the kids, Mia and Joe will thank her in the future.”

The ‘Kate’ Sam Mendes is referring to above is undoubtedly Kate Winslet, his wife. Kate is 29 years old, which makes her a little old to be Fleur Delacour, but definitely too young to be Madame Maxime, but Mr. Mendes does mention “young french wizard”, so it has to be Fleur he’s referring to.
