Perhaps in an attempt to steal a bit of thunder from next week’s TV premiere of Sorcerer’s Stone on ABC, NBC’s Saturday Night Live last night included a Harry Potter Sketch.
The entire gist of the 5 minute sketch involved all the males in the story being impressed with Hermione’s development over the summer.
Rachel Dratch played Harry, Seth Myers played Ron, Jimmy Fallon and Chris Parnell played Fred and George, Will Forte played Snape and Horatio Sanz played Hagrid. Guest host Lindsay Lohan played Hermione. Interestingly, Seth Meyers as Ron is a bit more closer to the “tall and lanky” Ron as written in the books by J.K. than Rupert Grint is.
Fan website Veritaserum has posted a transcript of the sketch, but beware, SNL is rated TV-14 and the sketch has adult themes.
The wands and other props used in the sketch were purchased by NBC from our friends over at Alivans Magic Wands, who had tipped us off a few days ago to be expecting something Harry Potter-related on this weekend’s SNL show.
